Helping women to survive and thrive after divorce and relationship breakdown

Come through your divorce feeling positive and strong, with a clear focus for the next stage of your life.

Hello, I’m Caroline Richards, and I help women going through divorce feel positive, calm and strong, so they can take the trauma out of the divorce process, save money, and find new purpose in their lives.   In September 2017, after a few rocky years of marriage, and having just returned from a women’s yoga retreat, my husband told me, not for the first time, ‘I want you to leave’. We had been together 13 years, had four children together, and although things hadn’t been great for a while, it came as a complete blow. I said nothing, got the children ready for school, and visited my local Citizens Advice Bureau. I returned after a couple of hours, having made the decision that I wanted a divorce. I could not go on any longer. He made no attempt to dissuade me, and I began proceedings, blissfully unaware of how tough this path would be. Tough as it has been, I would not go back.
The divorce has been an opportunity for me to create a new life for myself. Having been at home with children for 12 years, I am now having a book published, and loving the opportunity to create a business and work as a coach. Many women struggle with divorce and separation, and although it has been hard and emotional, I have used many of the techniques and skills gained throughout my life to see this experience as an opportunity and not a disaster. There are still days when it feels really tough, but these days get fewer. Becoming a Divorce Coach has been a very natural step, bringing together my personal and professional experiences so I can share techniques and tips with you that I know really work, because I have used them for myself.
In 1995, I qualified as a Social Worker with an Honours Degree in Applied Social Science and a Certificate of Qualification in Social Work. I went on to work in the Children and Families field for 10 years, providing assessment and support to the most vulnerable families. My work involved counselling, parenting advice, finance and benefits, and supporting parents emotionally and practically to be the best they could for their children, creating better outcomes for the whole family. These are skills I will used to support you, to help you move calmly through the divorce process, saving you time and money, as well as working with you to feel positive and strong so you can develop better relationships with your children, and create a new direction in your life.
I am a member of the British Association of Social Workers, and work according to their Code of Ethics, giving you peace of mind. In addition to my Social Work experience, I have been practising yoga and meditation for 25 years, and will be able to share with you some extremely practical, effective and empowering tools from these disciplines, some of which will have immediate effect in dealing with your emotional states, so you are able to cope with what is being thrown at you, leaving you more head space to move on with your life.
I set up as a Divorce Coach using skills learnt in my professional and personal life, to help other women going through divorce to come through it feeling strong with a positive focus on their future. I work with women on a one to one basis via video call, so it doesn’t matter where you are, and offer two transformational packages of 6 or 12 sessions, including membership of a private online community, worksheets,  meditations, and access to support between sessions. If you feel moved to take a step towards feeling positive, calm and strong through your divorce process, and to start creating a new life for yourself and your children, click to book free chat to see how I can help.
